My 2 cents is not about a place, is not about a ride, it is only about... our passion, our cars!!!
Why not to have:
BMW Club - Experts Round Table!
The idea could be to have different chapters (M Chapter, 3 Series Chapter, etc.) in which car's owner could meet qualified technicians and experienced drivers to talk about our cars, how to properly maintain them, how to improve them and how to drive them.
To do this we need BMW itself or a good and trustworthy Garage Sponsoring the Round tables and dedicating their best expert to give advice to Club Members.
Benefits for Club Members
- Meet qualified technicians with deep knowledge about our cars and BMW technology in general
- An expert could test drive our cars to detect actual or potential problems and give advice and quotations to solve it.
- Maybe we can get a Computer Report and learn about the issue present in the report
- We can share experiences driving, fixing and tuning our car and learn from others
- Share some good time talking, eating, smoking, etc. ;)
Benefits for BMW and/or Garage
- Foster the community spirit around the Brand
- Proactively encourage people to follow proactive maintenance
- Drive new services business as an outcome of expert's advice
- Drive new sales (BMW may present new models and let people test drive it)

Your request is already out there, Das Autoworks. Members are either on the phone, PM'ing, or at the office chatting up to me about exactly what you've just mentioned. :)
As for other people's advice on your car and news about BMWs and other makes, there are the events. The more you attend, the bigger your circle of experts ready to help you out.
