    E36 M3 SMG I problem...

A friend of mine just called me and conveyed the sad news; his SMG I EVO M3 can't shift gears anymore...Now my thinking it's got to be his pump, but is there any other reason you guys can think of for this from expereince?

    Worn clutch ?

Has he changed the pump fluid and didn't bleed the system properly, same goes with clutch replacement ?

Does the car start normally and neutralize (N) ?

His selector postition sensor might have said goodbye ?

    Just a couple of options . . .

Nops its not the pump.....just let him get it hooked to a GT1 and reset the SMG modul and check his SMG oil (CHF 11s)

Already sent him down to X-Service to check it up first before going into more painful measures!

Word is he knew his pump was leaking and yet ventured by taking it to AUH. Obviously, it didn't make the trip back....That's messed up!

I see X-Service Centre have registered at our forum, perhaps they can let us know what's up.
