Thinking of these Mods for my 335

Hey there guys... I'm finally thinking of modding my 335...

I just thought I'll open up a discussion to get your advice/feedback on things...

I'm ordering the HKS Legamax Exhaust and the AFE intake first... After doing my bit of research and reading endless forums and feedbacks it seems to me that HKS is one of the best for my car... Here are some links if any of you 335 guys are interested...

Next thing on my list is the ecu flash(which btw i'm most confused about)... I heard that XCS is offering a 40hp chip but i have no idea whatsoever as to which one it is and what are the reviews of the ppl who've tried it... HP and TRQ figures do matter but the power delivery also matters a great deal, so whoever has tried it please do give your review/feedback, I'd really appreciate it... just wanna know if the car still remains daily driveable and if there are any reliability issues... Another thing that worries me is I have the auto gearbox :cursing:... will it be able to handle the power after these mods or should i be worried about something...

*** are dealers for PowerChip, great results from people who have tried them. There's alsp Viezu Tuning available for the N54, I've tested thier stage 2 remap (40hp) first hand on a 135i and I was laughing the whole way!! They also offer a stage 3 at 60hp.

With intake and exhaust, you should see some more improvement with a tune...

i've tried the Superchip offered at ***, blv me man, its exactly wut ur lookin for.
the change is wonderful but yet civilized, ur car will feel the same.
about the gear box, dunn worry i installed it and nothin happend !
      installation will take u 2 - 3 mins ! and it is untraceable !
i'm goin to try the viezu as soon as its gonna be available and depending on both experiences i'll decide on wut to stick to.

Hmmm... too many choices leaves me confused... according to the forums and ppl in the States, the best ecu mod seems to be either Vishnu Procede V3 or the BMS JB3... Both give around 80hp gains, but the problem is I can get them from the states quite easily but don't know any place that can install it on my car...

Would you guys be knowing where I can get it installed if I got it myself from the states??...

80 extra hp is almost one bar extra boost. In this heat, and without upgrading your intercooler and oil cooler I think it's asking for troubles. You can get any numbers you want from your car, but at the same time you need to make sure your enging didn't acquire a new shortened expiry date..

X Service can do it, if its plug and play even you might be able to do it, but yes Ayham is right about getting an inter cooler..

Yea thats true... I wouldn't want power over my engine life...

BTW Ayham; hows Viezu Tuning? haven't really heard of them before... and let me know about the 60hp tune... like Moe said would wanna try both, Superchip and Viezu, and see which ones better and stick with that...

Vishnu and JB3 are piggybacks and they will only interfere with the signals and change them. Checkout GIAC new reflash for the N54

Thanks for sharing the info man... GIAC looks quite promising...

Just wanna know one thing though... is a simple ecu flash more preferable or a piggiback like JB3 or Vishnu... If someone could shed some light on the pros and cons for both...

It's a UK-based tuner who's work is very popular over there. We managed to get the license for their products for the Middle East through some friends.

You guys with the N54 are so lucky, the thread is 1 page long and you already have 4 different vendors ;)

Mr.E36I, 450hp on the stock turbos?

Can you start a thread about that car? Might as well get its owner to post here regarding the build...That's scarry!!
