Need Help!!! I've Tried Everything, Still No Results!!!

    Hi everyone,

I've been away for a while, but i'm back and i'm back to a problem i had earlier, ENGINE HEATING PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car is heating up and reaching the red mark! I've changed the following and need ur opinion on what else i can do.

    (1) Clutch Fan; fan is ok.
    (2) Thermostat
    (3) Water Pump
    (4) Plastic tank (where u fill the coolant)
    (5) Radiator

I even took it to a place who told me that the heat could be from a blockage in the exhaust; actually the catelic converter (ignore spelling hehe). So we did a temporary solution of putting straight pipes! I wasn't happy about this last step, but i was desperate and i wanted the car to get fixed.

    What else can i do?

I'm leaving head gaskit for last option! just because i know its not a good thing to open the cylinder head, and its not easy to adjust etc.

    Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese help!!!!!!!!!!!!! :help:

Do you face any reduction in performance? Does the car accelerate as it's used to?

        Hello Moe,

Any changes with the step bove ?? :wired:

Do the last step and chk if you have the pressure on radiator pipe
( just try to see if the pipe is getting bigger than normal if it's heating up )

it means you have air in the system and if you bleed it correctly it may be cylinder head gasket leaking

also replace your TEMP sensor to make sure it's not faulty as an easy way step,

Do a compression Test to the Engine and get me the result i can tell from this test allot

        good luck

:whathesaid: otherwise cause of the heat your radiator would be affected by now. Unless it is already? Water level ok?
Check engine oil level.... maybe too full.
Check for oil sedimentation/mixture in your radiator water bottle.

Belt is ok. the temp guage seems normal, the car is in normal temp in the begining for about 15 minutes, then it starts. I could replace.

I'm just so surprised! my car is 2003 (with 102K) and well taken care of + i'm not an aggressive driver! i've always linked head gasket to older cars! way older though :(

If you've already changed those parts and the problem still persists, then I too smell the Head Gasket..

Change the temp sensor itself first.....If that fails, I can't think of anything else besides the HG. It's not a rocket-science job...

Head gasket would mean seeing traces of oil in your coolant bottle...small dotes of brown oil in your reservoir. If you do a compression/leak down test u should be able to tell if it is the gasket. So check if there is any oil in your coolant and if there is nth then its not a head gasket. Did you change your radiator + hoses??

i agree with bashar check your coolant and oil for mixing this is the only way u can find a bad head gasket
wrong ignition timing can cause overheating, also wrong oil grade so make sure u eliminate those
