    Low performance

    Dear All,

While driving, the sound of my 330i 2001 BMW is changed. I am start hearing as if I have a leak in the air coming from the engin ( Funny :D ).. Moreover, I am feeling that the performance of my car get down. Any ideas ?? Is is related to Vaccum Valuv ? or something else.

    Thanks Guys.

Ofcourse it would affect your performance AND drivability. Could be other things too, depends on how well maintained the car is vs. its mileage.

Where does the sound come from ?? .. does the car lose power at certain RPM or it lost some power overall !

It is 2001 330i , the mileage is 130,000 Km.
Regarding the sound, I think it is coming from the air filter where there is a big pipe. I am not sure. Sometime I notice that it became weak when it reach RPM 2, it is stucking their. After I did kick down and the RPM jump to 3 or 4 it is ok.

              Could be any of these:

              - Crank sensor
              - Cam sensor
              - MAF sensor
              - Air leak somewhere

Cats could be an issue as well .. cuz they kill the car at low RPMs

I heard that we can clean the MAF sensor using MAF clener. But we should be careful. So if yes, can I get that clener and do it??
                          Any experiances ;) ??

This is the number of the Garage supervisor, Nadir: 050-34 999 12, it's on the same line with Al Malaak Exhaust closer to the big signal.

                            They are excellent!
