Engine Fault and Lower Control Arm

I was driving this morning and my IDrive monitor showed Engine Fault and slowly the sound of the engine changed...

Guys, what do you think is the cause and what should be immediately done in this case?

    Btw, am hitting 95K already and I have 530 (E60) 2005..

Also, the Lower Control Arm I think has problems, any take on this..

    Thanks...

    Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8520/4.6.1.272 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/212)

Not just one thing causes an engine fault warning...best to hook it on GT1 to see, especially that we have no idea about the history of the car.

Abd what syndromes is the control arm displaying?

it's very hard to guess what's wrong. you haveto speak more car language.

My advice, tow the car to the mechanic or dealership you deal with and see what the GT1 says.

          Best of luck
