steering problems??? need help...

hi,
recently i have changed the bushings of the front control arms and while the cars was elevated i saw some leaking from my steering, i have also heard some knockings, first i thought the bushings were to blame for those but once changed the knockings are still there, not all the time, depends on the steering wheel's position, usually when almost fully turned either right or left....i presume my steering needs to be fixed or replaced, what do you recommend and where should i have it fixed or replaced?? Any idea how much would be?

all that while moving or stationary??

did you check the sway bar bushings, tierods, stabilizers?

does your steering pump make any whyning noise? is that what you mean by knocking?

i am trying to never steer while stationary, when parking, usually reverse and i steer close to maximum range and the car is slowly moving backwards i can hear sometimes a noise, a knocking, like something is loosen up, the pump makes no noise, i know that sound when the pump is about to give up but that's not it. I did see some power steering liquid leaking while the car was elevated for bushings change, you're right though, i didn't check the tierods, but the others seemed to be ok, i have no noise when driving on bad tarmac except, sometimes, some knocks in my steering, so this is why my guess...where can i get a good diagnostic?
