AC Compressor dead. Tooooooo hot

Hi to All,

My AC Compressor is dead. I collect some prices as below. I am planning to go to Janu Garage in Sharjah for the replacement. Does any one has a better idea.

Compressor Prices.
Tony Edwards - 6750AED
VIP German Auto Garage - 4000AED
City Anchor - 3070AED
Hercules Auto Parts - 3000AED
Janu Garage - 3000AED

I guess around 300-500 for replacement.

Any idea about used ones in Sharjah (Scrap). I heard that I can find a used one around 1500 but how trustable?????

Nowadays I have a BMW acting like sauna :) Anybody who want to lose some weight can join to me.

But, one qustion though. Why the hell do Tony Edwards charge the price of your cars engine for an A/C compressor replacement ? Unless theyre gettting a new unit, but it still wouldn't add up to this much !

Anyways, you can find'em in Sharjah. Ayham knows a place, but I comlpletly forgot the name since I just woke up.
Haissam's A/C compressor blew on him more than a week ago and he got it replaced at my dads place, it's running fine till now. Atleast that's what I know .

So, dude. Do not pay a 1000$ for a compressor replacement ! It'll cost you much less .

it costs less than 1500 dirhams used... call up ahmad@ reem il bawadi. he should have it in stock. also try sharq syria.

Few minutes ago one of the spare part dealer call me back and he told that he have Denso AC compressor for 1600AED (Brand new one).

I also found http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92740.
This guy also put Denso 7SBU16C to his car. Somehow comfirmed. I'll go and buy it.

Ok. For sure I will share my experience.
Can you advice any garage near Rashidiya Bruno which you know good.
Al quoz area is a bit far for me. Working 08:00 to 19:00. Not have enough time to go. Janu is closer but Sharja traffic.

falcon's garage is in rashidiya.. just behind the rear side of the new emirates airlines building. charges shouldn't exceed 400 dirhams. but the earliest time you can drop in the car will be on sat.

Thanks Ssense, I bought Denso compressor last night. I prefered Denso as it is brand new for 1600AED instead of used one. I will post if it is working good or not.

yeah please keep us updated on the denso..

a used compressor for my 1.9 Z3 was around 500 Dhs so i wouldn't expect a used one for the 323 to be more than 700-800?

but i say u went with a better option coz you can't tell if the used one will last 5 years or 5 days!

I got my car back. It is cooling good. No problem at all for the moment. Denso compressor is working fine. If any problem in the future I will write again.

AC Compressor (Denso-Brand New) - 1600AED
Drier (Brand New) - 110AED
Valve (Brand New)- 90AED
Swithch (Brand New)- 175AED
Cleaning Gas - 175AED
AC Gas - 100AED
Installation - 400AED

Total - 2600AED

Glad to hear man, hope all goes well for years to come !

Try not to reach such high revs with A/C on, especially when it's still new. If you want to rev, just switch it off and be on the safe side !
