    Z3 COUPE .. tires/wheels issue

hey all, bit of help. i've upgraded the wheels/tires on my '99 Z3 coupe to 18"s and now, everytime i speed and go over bumps or turn sharply, the tires rub inside the wheel well. what to do? where to go ? thnx

You are getting this problem due 2 possible things, the offset of the rims that you upgraded to is not correct, and your tyre size is too big. You need to tell us more info about your old rim/tyre combo and your new rim/tyre combo

you're offset is obviously wrong... Z3coupes with 18 inch rims simply don't work.

did you check the offsets & rim/tire sizes before doing it?

tell us the width of the rims, the offsets & the size of the tires in order to help you out :)

Matter of a fact, we have an MZ3C (Damn that's LONG!!) guru among us here called Naveed with experience in fitting aftermarket rims to his E36/7 :)

but the M has different rear offsets :)

                          Hence, I said MZ3C ;)

E36/7 is the chassis code for the Z3..

YO!!! not scared away ... sorry .. been a bit busy w work & had to clean the car before i posted any pics .. it was waaaay too dirty.

alright, so .. OFFSET #'s i have no clue about ! ( yes i'm an idiot, i figured they're BMW rims so they must fit .. retard, i know )

                            size of tires is 225/40-18

                            so now what ??

btw, the rims are supposed to be M6 copies!

                            thnx

                              welcome back :D

if you wanted my opinion, i wouldn't have gone for M6 style rims coz they need larger discs to fill em up! besides ur car has a sort of 4x4 look with the huge tire/fender gap!

it's hard to tell from the pics, but looks like the front offset is a bit aggressive and the wheels stick out like 1 cm beyond the fender? we need a better angle like this photo for the front & rear to help you out
