    Hot or not?

    Morning all,

I bought Performance BMW magazine last night for the incredible price of 55aed . Anyway, after flicking through the pages of adverts for parts suppliers i went on the net to check a few prices. A few minutes later, i stumbled upon a company called Ibherdesign (http://www.ibherdesign.com/indexE.html), which i'm sure some of you wil be familar with. They make body-kits for various marques, including the E46. Now, i'm not usually a fan of body-kits, especially as the stock M3 is so nicely done, but the pictures below changed my mind. I want (a) that body kit and (b) that car colour and (c) those rims. So basically, i want this car, i think it's gorgeous. However, one of my mates says he doesn't like it at all...saying that the wheels arches are too wide and it's a bit tacky.

    So, i'm leaving it to you, the great minds of the BMW Club UAE to decide;

Specifically the body-kit, not the car pictured...hot or not ?

Just to be fair, here's the same body-kit on a different car...doesn't quite have the same impact on this one, does it?

few points that caught my attention the first car:
        -hartge rims
        -tweaked racing dynamics front bumper
        -tweaked E9X M3 bumper
-i think these pics are photoshoped
-the headlights and corners look :ghey: just like japanese cars.

        the second car:
-the rims are available in sharjah and you can find them installed on hondas and lancers often.
-bumpers get the same feedback as the above car.
-i still think they are badly photoshoped

sadly this body kit technically speaking won't fit your M and definitely your car looks better without them.

That's my normal thinking too, but i like this kit because compared to almost every other E46 kit i've seen, it's not too overstated, not too wide-boy or "bling" - it's on the borderline between "nicely done" and "over the top".

But your last point is spot on, she's a beauty as she is!

Wow, you've got an expert eye Bruno! Even if it did fit my M3, at around 14,000aed supplied (UK prices), without painting or fitting, it's more than i'd ever pay.

Still, let's just say that it's the nicest looking E46 kit i've seen so far...most of them are downright awful.

I think the Hartge rims look better on the E60. The E46 that you've posted look kind of cheap to me. Side mirrors with indicator lights on them ?! Where did the fog lights go ?! The headlights look like those after market headlights bought from Sharjah's accessories shops. Id keep the E46 the way it is, its a small body car which is well designed.. installing a wide body makes it look like huge wide bodied kit squeezing a small car. Sorry bro, but not my cup of tea :nono:

Just for us novices who wouldn't know the differences, what exactly would you say characterises a Japanese car? What make this car look Japanese? It doesn't scream "Honda!" or "Toyota!" at me, but then like i say, i'm a bit of a novice.

                    Thanking you in advance...

Dont really agree with that :nono:, yeah with a wing the race car is the best but talking of wide body kits, dont forget Lumma's wide body kits for E60 M5s
