    Just Hatched ...

    Hello All,

... somehow I managed to initiate a query/intro somewhere else on this forum and was advised that this ..... is where the new thread-er's begin .. so here goes..

I have stock 04 E46 SMG M3 in good condition with a clean shifter (touchwood). I tend to keep my cars stock a such as possible. I hate to change things when not required as the whole logic of factory fitted options is lost. But that's me.... :)

However I'm intrigued by all the stuff you can do for the M3 and though of doing a slow gradual change with it... Starting with the exhaust, intakes, suspension, brakes and so on...Value for money seems to be Borla and hits the right notes too... Any suggestions on where I can get good service, support and/or fitting done for this car? Or if I buy the parts online/in Dubai and just get them fitted? DAS, Munich, MAX, AGMC, etc etc...

I don't mind smaller garages with people who know about these cars (which is lacking here) .In the US it's easy as I'm from Atlanta and have a E36 and E46 there maintained by a German car specialist in his home garage.

I do not want to pay over the top for stuff that's not necessary and to be honest I am well versed with automotive's and engines, so taking me for a ride is a long shot (which usually happens in this part of the world). However finding a good support structure/mechanic for the M3 in Dubai/UAE is challenging and any feedback is appreciated.

    Appreciate suggestions and help..

    nice rides you got there.

The borla is decent for the price, you cant go wrong with this choice. It's deep and not extremely loud, just perfect for not being busted by the police.

Now that's quite an interesting intro there. :D

Borla is great on E46, it just has that right value for it's quality. You don't want to end up paying 15k for a Catback.

E46 has lots of parts and mods that could be installed. You could go for solid bushings all over, it'll give it a firm and sharp behavior on bends.

E46 M3s tend to Crack their subframes so make sure you get that checked and order a reinforcement kit which will enhance the chassis.

Some nice bolt ons to add that could make a difference as well. Such as cold air intake, pulley kit, tune. It'll give the car that extra push you're missing.

Most important thing, is to maintain a good relationship with her and treat her well by changing the oil every 5k specifically in this climate. You'll preserve the engine and keep it well.

Welcome on board and do post some pics of her :D
