Your recommendations for a daily driver...

    Guys,

i am thinking about this a while already i need to know you opinions!

As i am putting wayyyy toooo much mileage on my baby in need to watch out for a daily driver in the near future as soon as i got some extra cash, cause i really dont want to spoil my baby with the result that i have to sell her soon because of the mileage!

So... the car which i am looking for should have the following :

    - Manual
    - Cheap
    - Sporty
    - Powerfull
    - Fun to drive
    - cheap in servicing and easy to modify
    - BULLETPROOF!!!! So Engine and Gerabox should be as undestroyable as possible.

So i need a "POCKET ROCKET".. I need to drive vom A-Z as fast as possible and with as much fun as possible

Here i some cars which i would consider

    - Mini Cooper S
    - Peugeot 206 RC
    - Audi TT (old shape)
    - Golf iV GTI or R32
    - Beetle Cup

What else would you guys recommend???

I would use that car also for trackdays/nights and of course every day to rape it...

btw. dont worry about comfort etc.. I dont care... :thanks:

It could easily happen that i wold mod this car with rollcage etc if i have the time and money for it..

Bimmer would be only for weekends and if i am in the mode to wake up the beast!

    So.. your turn guys...

Out of your list I'd pick the Mini and the Golf R32 (GTi heavy front + its a FWD kills its handling).

But reading your requests my vote would be an E36 M3....Seriously dude, it's gotta be a RWD. OR an EVO 7,8,or 9 but keeping it stock. However, with an EVO the modding bug is inevitable and it'd be hard to keep it stock.

Yeah.. i was thinking about a e36 M3... But it needs to be manual and i proper condition... Considering this.. the price will be too expensive i think...

Evo.. yes... veeryyy nice.. BUT, in know myself.... After a couple of month i am throwing in big turbos and loud exhausts....

99% of the E36 M3 population in the world is manual, so that's out the way. They are not expensive now; a friend of mine picked up his MINT E36 M3 EVO ('97) for 45K, and I mean showroom-condition mint! You'll see it in our next event...

Well, as for the EVO route, buy a ready one then ;) I strongly recommend Pirelli's EVO8, it's sorted out with a sinful standalone MOTEC

Lol, my personal belief? I think all the SMGI M3s got dumped in the UAE at some point, and I mean all of them!

Yup, Shj would be the place...I'd import one, can't run by them anymore at the showrooms.

Handling and gear shifter are TOO vague. They look good, but apart from that they can't walk the walk.

Id say go for an E36 M3 or an R32, both are fun to drive ! The E36 M3s you can get them on a good price, which would be suitable for your budget but an Evo would be expensive for you.

MKIII R32 was as bad as the SMGI compared to the SMGII!

E36 M3s are very reliable, less electronics so less problems.. You can have as much fun as you want and that car never says 'ouch' :)
