What do you think about Mini Cooper S?

i was just surfing on dubizzle and i saw some Mini Cooper S for reasonable prices!

I was just wondering what you guys think about this car!

I test drove on in back in Germany and a friend of mine owns one! All i can say is.. alot of fun to drive, quick and very reliable :)

No other way than ECU Upgrade, put a rollcage, 2 bucket seats, lower it, nice exhaust and yalla :) They wont be able to follow anymore.

do you know mahmoud with the blue miniS? he is crying from how the treatment he's getting from AGMC.

once they gave him his car back from service with oil half filled in the engine, he has been having a bad time with AGMC on many occasions.

these cars are cheap tp maintain as per my previous experience with a mini cooper

the Cooper S is a very nice car, but it's a bit girly stock to be honest.. if you get it in black & mod it nicely you can get away with it hehe :)

only thing i hate is the FWD! :thumbsdown:

u planning to go with the previous S right? i mean the 2.0L and not the latest 1.6L turbo?

I like mini cooper S, in Qatar I rented a convertable one. It felt a bit wobbly tho, but that's probably coz it's a convertable. I was considering getting one as well. They're quite speedy and good fun! I think it's got character, that's what I like about it. But what's better, that or a Gti?

Yeah the FWD is a bit annoying, and you can't drift around corners unless you use the handbrake. And after being used to an M5 it feels very different

GTI is more expensive...

If i would go for one i would buy the previous one with the Supercharger... I think both models got 1.6 liters..

I have to admit it is a nifty little thing that's exciting to drive. Drove a vert in Switzerland last year and I absolutely loved it... it was in its element there! top down the whole time... I think it would be crap here though!

I think its a nice car...with the proper mods and paint...it wudn look like a chic car...after all the S version has more of a masculine touch to it... its a perfect car as a daily driver!

I would say go ahead with the choice Franz...

Another good option would be R32..not the GTi :)
