I have to agree with you Bruno, this year onwards im also planning to save as much as I can for my future plans. Ive already opened a saving account, so lets see at the end of this year how much can I save out of my spendings :)

But man, if u r in dubai, u do end up spending a lot!... gone are the times wen we used to look for the cheapest place to have sheesha...( i remember times when sheesha was 7dhs)... now, its a min of 25 - 40 dhs!...

for example i started working in the UAE since Jan 2004, and after 4 years of hard work, i placed all my savings in commodities & mutual funds, while the rest was spent on cars & vacations.. now after 5 years i'm planning my wedding etc (so i need the money most), but my investments are at less than 50% of what i originally paid so i'm not gonna touch them, hoping that things will pick up later this year & i can start seeing progress.. so i had to sell my Z4M, cut down expenses, delay buying a car and so on, hoping that i'll be able to save the money i need for my wedding :)

with all the stress & tension, i'm at happiest person i've ever been ;) and this proves that money is just the tool & there's always a solution to every situation :msolved:

Haissam, you're on the right track. Realizing that you can do without certain luxuries in life takes courage and maturity, both you have.

My resolution for this year is to freeze my motorsports activity, except for the HPDS because it proved to be the best bang for the money; you DO learn, you drive a proper car, and the time we spend is just awesome. No more 5 sheeshas per week because of my detorirating breath stamina in the first place and because it does eat up a lot of your savings, fact! I will also spend more time with my family, seeing how the Club has picked up and is now sustaining itself, thanks to you people, I can afford to spend more time with the family :)

These are difficult times and we need to be adaptive...
