Oman Khasab Drive - Feb 26th 2016
Dear Members,
As promised and mentioned during our last drive, the annual Oman Drive that includes with the best sceneries, pictures and experience. This drive will be to Northern Oman “Khasab”, some of you have been before, and some have not. We invite you to join us for an exciting coastline cruise to Northern Oman along with your families and friends.
The drive will need some work/documents to be in place to assure a smooth entry to Oman, it is worth it, you will not regret.
Event details:
• Event Date: Feb 26th 2016
• Meet location: ACE Hardware Festival City
• Meet timing: 8:00 AM
• Rollout: 9AM +/-
• Event Destination: Northern Oman, Khasab
• Discounted price per person for the Buffet: 100 AED including soft drinks and juices
• Free to Paid Members: NO
Event Agenda:
• Ace Hardware 8AM – 9AM
• Golden Tulip hotel Khasab Oman (lunch) 12:30 – 2:00
• Khasab beach 2:00 – 3:00
• Drive back 3:00 +/-
Documents Required to travel to Oman from UAE by road:
• Your and your dependent’s / co-passenger’s passports (actual passport)
• Your driving licence
• Your car registration card (Mulkiya)
• Car insurance document. You can purchase car insurance at the border, If your car doesn’t have Oman insurance coverage. Your car need to be insured in Oman, if not this can be purchased at the border for around AED100-150 depending on your car (3rd party only); call your current car insurance company to check if your policy covers Oman or not because some do.
• A pen
• Outdoor Chairs (Khasab Oman)
• Sweatshirt depending on the weather
• Cameras and go-pros
Visa requirements:
If you are a UAE residence visa holder, you don’t need to take visit visa for Oman in advance (Read below points). You will get visa on arrival at the Oman border provided you have below mentioned mandatory documents.
1. Valid residence visa of UAE ( Your UAE visa should be in professional category – Other categories may get rejected. Please refer Royal Oman Police website for more info: Royal Oman Police Website - Information - Visa Types - GCC Residents Visa)
2. Valid passport (Not less that six months). For Companions / Drivers / Maids Labour card and valid passport ( not less than 3 months )
3. Insurance document for your car in Oman – ( You can buy Oman insurance coverage from UAE-OMAN border check post, If your vehicle insurance doesn’t have Oman coverage )
