Car Paint Jerez vs Carbon BLACK

Hey Guys, got my hands on a cute e30, thinking of painting it with the same color of my E92 Jerez Black, or with the E46 Carbon Black which I think Came on the E9x individual or something..

I though about it a lot but i need the approval of my peeps :P

The Carbon Black is a little more blueish than the Jerez Black but still more Metalic.

The Jerez Black is darker, less Metalic, and has the feature of "Different" shades under Various lights.

For technicality below is the codes with color combinations

    Jerez Black Metallic
Paint code - A73 - 668 as per my car
    The mix is :
    Color ( % of total mix )
    Black ( 80%)
    Pearl Blue ( 7% )
    Dark Violet ( 5% )
    Light pearl blue( 4% )
    Laser Green( 3% )
    Pearl White( 1% )

    Carbon Black Metallic
    Paint code 416
    The mix is :
    Color ( % of total mix )
    Black ( 76%)
    Special Red ( 5% )
    Pearl Blue( 12% )
    Dark Blue( 4% )
    Brilliant silver( 2% )
    Silver( 1% )

Carbon black seems to "give a bit more" - hard to describe to be honest. I think it looks nicer.

However, not sure about on an E30 cos the lines are different to the cars you have posted above.

I was convincing "KarimE30" to get his build E30 resprayed in Carbon Black. I think the color works great with the E30.

haha yea you almost had me convinced but finally ended up going with the car's original paint which is DiamantSchwarz- Metallic (code 181) just how it looked like when it rolled out of the factory.

KarimE30, where did you get the paint done? Good Price, mine will need some TLC in the future once Il Presidente waves his magic spanner over her, so any feedback on the paint job would be good please....

                          thanks
