    Best Exhaust for M3 E46?

    Hi All,

Does anyone have any recommendations for an upgraded exhaust on the E46 M3?
A friend of mine is currently running a Super Sprint system which sounds brilliant and is really peaking my interest.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

      Thanks Wazif.

Are you getting much of a power gain using the Borla system?
Do you know if there are any limitations running a straight thru / DeCat system in the UAE?

Not sure about the power gains since i havent dynoed the car after fitment.

a straight thru will be LOUD and might attract unwanted attention from the authorities. Also you run a risk of your car not passing the registration test process due to higher emission levels. that being said, i've seen people with straight pipes pass the test as well. It all depends on the test centre and the tester!

When I had my E46 i remember taking a look on Gruppe M Exhaust. It's bit over priced but it is the best you can find.

            Hi Guys,

firstly great job and support ..

I have stock 04 E46 SMG M3 in good condition with a clean shifter (touchwood). I tend to keep my cars stock a such as possible. I hate to change things when not required as the whole logic of factory fitted options is lost. But that's me.... :)

However I'm intrigued by all the stuff you can do for the M3 and though of doing a slow gradual change with it... Starting with the exhaust, intakes, suspension, brakes and so on...Value for money seems to be Borla and hits the right notes too... Any suggestions on where I can get good service, support and/or fitting done for this car? Or if I buy the parts online/in Dubai and just get them fitted? DAS, Munich, MAX, AGMC, etc etc...

I don't mind smaller garages with people who know about these cars (which is lacking here) .In the US it's easy as I'm from Atlanta and have a E36 and E46 there maintained by a German car specialist in his home garage.

I do not want to pay over the top for stuff that's not necessary and to be honest I am well versed with automotives and engines, so taking me for a ride is a long shot (which usually happens in this part of the world). However finding a good support structure/mechanic for the M3 in Dubai/UAE is challenging and any feedback is appreciated.

            Appreciate suggestions and help..

I would start by starting my own thread :P :P

How about starting your own thread in the right place and perhaps create an intro about yourself. You'll get more interactions like that.

Hey Pravin... I went with Borla :) very happy with it! i got the oval tips instead of the standard 4 shotgun tips (for some reason , i think the oval sounds better!) I got them 7 years back so cant give you any advice on cost.

For fitment, i'd take them to any of our sponsors. Octane, Kinetechnick and Simon Motorsports can help you with it.

I ordered mine online... but i believe simon motorsports may be able to help you with that as well. I'd recommend you have a word with all and decide accordingly.

                Cheers and happy shopping!
