    E53 X5 dim dash lights

Hi guys! OK got a near MINT E53 X5. The dash, stereo surround and AC control lights are all dim. Those are all controlled but the toggle rotary dial on the left side of the instrument cluster. It adjust the brightness and currently even at its max, its very, very dim. Any thoughts? The dial itself or module, resistor somewhere? Anyone had a similar issue?

If u have the skills and trim tool to remove them its easy job to do it by your self just change the bulbs

No its not the bulbs. The bulbs for the digital display and messages are perfect, and so are the actual rev counter speedo etc. Its already been taken out and checked. Its something else as all three items, the cluster (Or top half) stereo surround and digital climate lights are all dim, hence my thoughts that its the rotary knob.

Pic shows my previous X% but basically its everything circled in red. The digital odometer is fine. All the circled lights dim down and up, but only to about 20% of the brightness if it makes sense?

Could be a faulty Instrument Cluster Module. Worth having that module reset by a coding software and double checking. I could do it for you...
